‘Laugh Like A Bomb’ is the new single from Baba Ali, an Anglo-American duo gearing up to release their new album. The track is simultaneously modern and nostalgic, with their forward-thinking instrumental juxtaposition and left-field songwriting style slotting them into 2023, and those pulsing synth rhythms and talkative vocal delivery leaving them connected to the 1980s. “We have an understanding of these two cities being a chaotic balance between endless possibility and cold ruthlessness.” the band explains, of their combined experiences of living in New York and London. “Everyone’s here for their slice of the cake and you never know how far some will go to get it.
